My name is Sophie.

Born smack dab in the middle of the United States in Nebraska, I spent hours growing up in the glow of Myspace, Xanga, and Neopets radiating from my computer screen, teaching myself HTML and CSS long into the late hours of the night. I often find myself yearning for the golden age of the Internet, when things felt like the wild west, when websites had life, spice, and spunk.

I long to do the same for the products I design today. While I fully recognize scrolling marquees are somewhat a quirk of the past, I still enjoy finding moments in my work where I can create delight. I often have to find the equilibrium between my free-spirited creative side and my logical, type-A side. I also find thrill in the structure, justification, and impact of the things I create.
